Jubilee elves gathered this week to gear up for the 20 families slated to visit us on December 14th. Â The first order of business is to express appreciation for your generosity and support for the Jubilee Christmas ministry! Â
We have received contributions to take care of the 10 laundry baskets for this year. Â Thank you!!
Look for the âmitten treeâ to find a tag that describes one of our Jubilee children. This year we are trying a new way to give each child a special outfit.Â
If you pick up a tag, please sign the log sheet noting the family information and your contact information next to the tree.
Stay tuned for more news as the elves finish up discussions with our parents and how we can best help our neighbors through this longstanding LUM program.
You too can play the space fantasy Star Wars game âEscape from the Death Starâ. Be the first to help Han, Chewie, Luke and Leia escape the garbage dump, disable the tractor beam, retrieve the blueprints, spin to fight against tie fighters, and reach the rebel base.
Party like itâs 1977 or play any one of our numerous games: Jenga, Life, Uno, Monopoly, Connect-4, Rummy, Sorry, and many more. Â
Check the ePistle newsletter for the next Game Night date, usually, the first Saturday of each month, held in the Lounge.
Meet at the church on Saturday, November 23rd, at 9 A.M.Â
We have a lot of work to do on the grounds and
inside the building to get ready for winter.
Take a journey through the Book of Acts with Pastor Gladys, Thursdays, at 11 A.M. in-person at the church or at 7 P.M. on Zoom.
Bible scholars agree that Luke wrote both the Gospel of Luke and Acts of the Apostles (See Luke 1:3 and Acts 1:1).Â
The Book of Acts of the Apostles is âa history of transition from Judaism to Christianity: from the law to the age of grace, and from a purely Jewish and Jerusalem based community to a multinational community.â (DG, 2024).
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is in transition like most churches, organizations, and entities. Our generation has seen a significant shift in our societal and church culture. As a church, we will together decipher how to swim the waters to the other side of the âJordanâ.
This Bible Study group meets Wednesdays at 12:30 P.M. with a ZOOM version of the class offered on the following Sunday evening at 7 P.M.Â
This week we are studying Chapter 4. Books are available. Â
Reading one short chapter a week, the book follows the liturgical year & goes for an entire year. In addition to the short chapter, there are 3 Bible passages to read. Â
This class was held last year. Some started during Lent 2024. Everyone is welcome even if you werenât able to participate before. Â
The Wired Word is a weekly Bible study curriculum that connects the Bible to current events, open to everyone, seventh grade and older.Â
