āFor where your treasure is,Ā
there your heart will be also.ā (Luke 12:34).

The HTLC Foundation is an endowment fund or a type of perpetual fund.Ā Endowments generally begin with one or more large gifts; often funds left as part of an estate settlement are directed to the Foundation.Ā Ā
The āprincipleā amount provided by gifts to the Foundation is not spent; it generates revenue (invested income) that can be used to support requests for projects or activities approved by the Foundation Board.
Note: Foundation funds are not used to finance the annual operating expenses of the congregation.Ā Ā
Congregation members with outreach ministries, community service projects or spiritual growth activities may request funds from the Foundation by completing this application online or filling out a paper version available at the church office.
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church uses a secure funds transfer system, VANCO, designed for organizations like churches.Ā Itās been in operation since 2021 and convenient for several givers who have contributed on a one-time basis or as regular donors.Ā Ā
Setting up a withdrawal from your bank is simple and yields the greatest benefit to HTLC. Ā Vanco charges about 1% of the value of each transaction as a service fee. Using a credit card reduces your contribution by an additional 3%.
Vanco is easy to use:
Here are some comments from members using Vanco:
"Giving online has created convenience and consistency for our family. During the pandemic when we were not able to be in person or even now when our lives are so busy, I can now focus on getting ready for church in the morning and know that I have done my tithing for the month. It is one less thing for me to worry about. "
"We have been using it since it became available, as an automatic transfer. Easy to set up and it is off the top giving the same date each month. It is taken from our bank account if we are in town or not. Also helps the Church know the expected income flow."
