About Our Staff

Our staff is committed to provide Pastoral support, and to plan meaningful, life changing worship to make a difference in our lives and in the lives of people we touch.

On September 1, 2024, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church welcomed the Reverend Dr. Gladys Nwabah to serve as our Interim Pastor for a year as the church calls a full-time pastor.

Our Pastor

The Reverend Dr. Gladys Nwabah was a professor of Economics, a high school AP Economics teacher, and a high school Behavior Adjustment teacher before she was called into the ministry in 2012. She was an educator for over three decades.

Gladys taught at the following schools:

  • Colorado Technical University, Colorado Springs Colorado;
  • Northlake College, Irving Texas;
  • Brookhaven College, Farmer's Branch Texas;
  • Lake Highlands High School, Dallas Texas;
  • Bishop Dunne High School, Dallas Texas;
  • University of Nigeria Nsukka, Nsukka Nigeria;
  • Women Training College, Enugu Nigeria;
  • Girls High School, Enugu Nigeria

A Passion for Education

Gladys loves education; which inspired her to acquire five degrees - a bachelor's degree, three master's degrees, a doctoral degree from the following schools:

  • Southern Methodist University, Dallas Texas;
  • University of Phoenix, Phoenix Arizona;
  • Texas A&M University, Commerce Texas;
  • Colorado University, Colorado Springs Colorado;
  • University of Nigeria, Nsukka Nigeria.

Gladys earned her theology degree from Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University Dallas Texas in 2011. She completed her Pastoral Internship at NorthPark Presbyterian Church, Dallas TX; prior to her ordination in 2012.

A Passion for Missions

Gladys has passions for missions; she worked with the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria for three and half years as a volunteer pastor; served as an associate pastor at First Presbyterian Church Garland Texas; and most recently served as a Solo Pastor and Head of Staff at Memorial Presbyterian Church, Dayton Indiana. Gladys is also trained and certificated in Transitional (Interim) Ministry.

A Passion for Writing

Gladys authored books in economics, women development in Africa. She is in the final stages of publishing her memoir. She has also published in reputable journals. Gladys' true passion is mission, worship and ministry - particularly focusing on pastoral care, preaching, women, youth, and pastoral education/training.

A Passion for Family

Gladys is widowed. She has five children and nine grandchildren; most of them live in the Dallas Texas Metroplex. Her twin sister also lives in the Dallas area. Gladys loves needle sewing and gardening. She currently lives in Lafayette Indiana with her baby son, Feso.
